‍ ‍In time though, all good things must come to an end, and when William and his wife Elisabeth discovered that their first child was on its way, he knew that it was time for a change of pace. The sixty to eighty hour workweeks that the restaurant industry demanded no longer seemed feasible, and so, it was time to seek out a new career path.

In 2019, while renovating their newly purchased Minneapolis home, William and Elisabeth hired a small tiling outfit known as Tonka Brick & Tile. After becoming friendly with the owner, Nevin Nolder, and casually discussing his current search for a new profession, Nevin decided to offer him an opportunity to apprentice with his company. Working side by side with Nevin over the following five years William honed his skills in tile setting, hand-floated custom shower pans, waterproofing and much more.

As the years went by, William once again found himself eagerly searching for a new challenge and so he sought out an opportunity to run his own business. In 2024 he took the first steps to establishing what would later become Bespoke Tile & Stone Installations. He went back to school to take a course in residential building, and in 2025 he passed his Residential Builder and Remodeler exam earning himself a license as a Residential Building Contractor for the state of Minnesota. It is with great excitement and much anticipation that William begins the next chapter in his story and looks forward to collaborating to bring your tile renovation to life.
